Supporting Fire, EMS, Law Enforcement, EMA, and other verified first responders with free access to eligible counties across the ScannerGrid system.

Who This Is For

ScannerGrid provides free scanner feed access to verified public safety personnel, including Fire, EMS, Law Enforcement, EMA, and other approved first responders.

Access is not limited to just one or two counties. Verified responders may be granted access to counties available on the ScannerGrid system based on their role, response area, and approval status.

This access is intended to serve as an added situational awareness tool for eligible responders on and off duty, while maintaining appropriate access controls and system integrity.

Note: We have backend tools in place to help automate responder verification, but that system is currently being updated. At this time, approvals may still require manual review.

Individual Responder Access

To request first responder access, email [email protected] with the information below for verification:

Your full legal name
Your department or agency name
Your role or position
Your primary county or coverage area
Your official department-issued email address
A clear photo or scan of your badge, department ID, or other official credential
Any additional information that helps verify your active affiliation and response area

Department-Wide Access

If a department head, chief, administrator, or authorized agency representative is interested in providing access to their entire department, ScannerGrid can support department-level access management as well.

This can allow an agency to manage access more efficiently, including the ability to coordinate member invites, approvals, and removals at the department level.

All first responder access requests are subject to verification to protect system integrity and ensure access is only granted to legitimate public safety personnel and approved agencies. Approval times may vary depending on request volume and available verification details.
